Martignas-sur-Jalle is a French town in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the canton of Mérignac-2 in the Arrondissement of Bordeaux . It is located in the closer catchment area of the city of Bordeaux and is crossed by the Jalle River. While Martignas-sur-Jalle still had 892 inhabitants in 1962, it currently has 7386 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).
