Lormont is a French city with 23,538 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The city is located in the Arrondissement of Bordeaux and is the capital (French: chef-lieu ) of the canton of Lormont .
Lormont is located northeast of Bordeaux on the eastern bank of the Garonne . The municipality is served by tram and bus lines of the TBC (terminus of line A of the tram from Bordeaux).
