Artigues-pres-Bordeaux ( Occitan : Artigas de Bordeu ) is a French municipality with 8639 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The city is located in the Arrondissement of Bordeaux and is part of the canton of Lormont . The inhabitants are called Artiguais . The community is served by tram and bus lines of the TBC .

Artigues-près-Bordeaux is located in the eastern suburbs of Bordeaux . Artigues-près-Bordeaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Yvrac in the north, Tresses in the east, Floirac in the south, Cenon in the west and Lormont in the northeast.
In the municipality, the A89 autoroute and the national route 230 intersect .
