Saucats is a French commune in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is located in the catchment area of the city of Bordeaux, about 30 kilometers south in the so-called Landes de Bordeaux . While Saucats had 550 inhabitants in 1962, it currently has 3,056 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).
The municipality belongs to the canton of La Brède in the Arrondissement of Bordeaux .
