Saint-Médard-en-Jalles is a town in the French region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in the Gironde department with 31,145 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The city is located in the Arrondissement of Bordeaux and is the capital (French: chef-lieu ) of its own canton .
