The canton of Saint-Médard-en-Jalles is a French constituency in Arrondissement of Bordeaux , in Gironde and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; its capital is Saint-Médard-en-Jalles . Serge Lamaison ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 1994, re-elected in 2008 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Saint-Médard-en-Jalles included the four municipalities of Le Haillan , Le Taillan-Médoc , Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc and Saint-Médard-en-Jalles . Its layout corresponded to an area of 144.42 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 3363.
