The District of Saint-Savin was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement of Blaye , in Gironde in the region Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "Blaye District". With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Blaye.

The canton bordered in the north and northeast on the cantons of Montendre and Montlieu-la-Garde in the arrondissement Jonzac in the department Charente-Maritime , in the east on the canton Guîtres in the arrondissement Libourne , in the south on the cantons Fronsac , also in the arrondissement Libourne and Saint- André-de-Cubzac , in the southwest to the canton of Bourg , to the west to the canton Blaye and to the northwest to the canton of Saint-Ciers-sur-Gironde .
