Saint-Savin is a French city with a population of 3,208 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Blaye and is part of the canton of Le Nord-Gironde (until 2015: canton of Saint-Savin ).
geography
Saint-Savin is located about 36 kilometers north-northeast of Bordeaux . The Moron rises on the eastern edge of the municipality . Saint-Savin is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Donnezac in the north, Bussac-Forêt in the northeast, Saint-Yzan-de-Soudiac in the east, Saint-Mariens in the southeast, Civrac-de-Blaye in the south, and Saint-Christoly-de-Blaye in the West as well as Saugon and Reignac in the northwest.
