Val-de-Livenne is a French commune with 1,744 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Blaye and the canton of L'Estuaire .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2019 as Commune nouvelle by amalgamating the previously independent municipalities of Saint-Caprais-de-Blaye and Marcillac , which have the status of Communes déléguées . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Caprais-de-Blaye.

Val-de-Livenne is located approx. 20 km northeast of Blaye and approx. 50 km north of Bordeaux in the Blayais area of the historic Guyenne province on the northern border with the neighboring Charente-Maritime department .

Val-de-Livenne can be reached via routes départementales 23, 115, 135, 137, 253 and 254.
The Autoroute A 10 from Paris to Bordeaux, called L'Aquitaine , crosses the municipality. Val-de-Livenne can be reached via the nearby exit 38 in the southern neighboring municipality of Reignac.
The municipality is connected to other municipalities in the department by a TransGironde bus line .
The Aérodrome de Montendre-Marcillac aerodrome for small aircraft is located in the municipality .
sport and freetime
- The Aéro-Club de Montendre et du Nord Blayais aviation club and the Wallaby Parachutisme skydiving center are based on the site of the airfield .
- The GR 655 long-distance hiking trail runs through the center of Saint-Caprais-de-Blaye. It follows the Via Turonensis , one of the four Way of St. James in France.
