Saint-Ciers-de-Canesse ( Occitan : Sent Circ ) is a town in southwestern France and a municipality with 825 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the north of the Aquitaine region . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Blaye and the canton L'Estuaire (until 2015: canton Bourg ).

Saint-Ciers-de-Canesse is located about 27 kilometers north of Bordeaux in the historic province of Angoumois in the Charente cultural landscape . Saint-Ciers-de-Canesse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Plassac in the north and north-west, Berson in the north and north-east, Saint-Trojan in the east, Samonac in the south-east, Comps in the south, Gauriac in the south and south-west and Villeneuve in the west.
