Teuillac ( Occitan : identical) is a town in southwestern France and a municipality with 880 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the north of the Aquitaine region . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Blaye and the canton L'Estuaire (until 2015: canton Bourg ). The inhabitants are called Teuillacais .

location

Teuillac is located about 28 kilometers north of Bordeaux in the historic province of Angoumois in the Charente cultural landscape . Teuillac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Berson in the north and northwest, Saint-Christoly-de-Blaye in the northeast, Saint-Vivien-de-Blaye in the east, Pugnac in the southeast, Mombrier in the south and Saint-Trojan in the west.
