Saint-Martin-Lacaussade is a French commune with 1,118 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Blaye and the canton L'Estuaire (until 2015: canton Blaye ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Martinois .

Saint-Martin-Lacaussade is located near the estuary of the Gironde , about 35 kilometers north-west of Bordeaux . Saint-Martin-Lacaussade is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Genès-de-Blaye in the north and north-west, Saint-Seurin-de-Cursac in the north and north-east, Saint-Paul in the east and north-east, Cars in the south and east and Blaye in the West.
