Val de Virvée is a French commune in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ) with 3,512 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Blaye and the canton of Le Nord-Gironde .
On January 1, 2016, Val de Virvée was created as Commune nouvelle through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Aubie-et-Espessas , Saint-Antoine and Salignac .

geography
Val de Virvée is about 24 kilometers north-northeast of Bordeaux . Val-de-Virvée is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Gauriaguet and Marsas in the north, Marcenais in the northeast, Saint-Genès-de-Fronsac in the east, Mouillac in the east and southeast, Vérac in the southeast, La Lande-de-Fronsac in the south, and Saint -André-de-Cubzac in the south and south-west, Virsac in the west and Peujard in the north-west.
Route nationale 10 runs along the western edge of the municipality .
