Aubie-et-Espessas ( Gascon : Aubia e Espessas ) is a former French commune with 1,352 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . As a municipality, it belonged to the Arrondissement of Blaye and the canton of Le Nord-Gironde (until 2015: canton of Saint-André-de-Cubzac ). The inhabitants are called Albins .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former municipalities of Aubie-et-Espessas , Saint-Antoine and Salignac were merged into a Commune nouvelle under the name Val de Virvée .
