Saint-Genès-de-Fronsac is a southwestern French community with 794 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Libourne and the canton Le Nord-Gironde (until 2015: Canton Fronsac ).

Saint-Genès-de-Fronsac is located about 27 kilometers northeast of Bordeaux and about 15 kilometers north-northwest of Libourne . Saint-Genès-de-Fronsac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marcenais in the north, Périssac in the east, Vérac in the south and southeast, Mouillac in the south and Salignac in the west.
