Les Peintures is a French commune with 1,583 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Libourne and the canton of Le Nord-Libournais (until 2015: canton of Coutras ).
geography
Les Peintures is located about 45 kilometers northeast of Bordeaux and about 18 kilometers northeast of Libourne on the Dronne River , which also forms the western municipal boundary. Les Peintures is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chamadelle in the north, Les Églisottes-et-Chalaures in the northeast, Le Fieu in the east, Coutras in the south and Lagorce in the west.
