Lapouyade (in Occitan : La Pojada ) is a southwestern French community with 498 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Libourne and the canton of Le Nord-Libournais (until 2015: canton of Guîtres ). The inhabitants are called Lapouyadais .

location

Lapouyade is about 36 kilometers northeast of Bordeaux . Lapouyade is surrounded by the neighboring communities Clérac in the north, Cercoux in the northeast, Maransin in the east and southeast, Tizac-de-Lapouyade in the south and southwest, Laruscade in the west and Bedenac in the northwest.
