Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac is a French commune in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is located in the closer catchment area of the city of Libourne . It has 522 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), a number that has barely changed over the past 40 years.
The municipality belongs to the canton of Le Libournais-Fronsadais in the Arrondissement of Libourne . An inter-communal association was set up with the municipalities of Saint-Aignan , La Rivière and Saint-Germain-de-la-Rivière to sponsor primary schools.
