The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Libourne and the canton of Le Réolais et Les Bastides (until 2015: canton of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande ). The inhabitants are called Pineuilhais .

geography

Pineuilh is about 16 kilometers west of Bergerac . The Dordogne limits the municipality to the north. Pineuilh is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt in the north and north-west, Sainte-Foy-la-Grande in the north, Saint-Avit-Saint-Nazaire in the east and north-east, and Saint-Philippe-du-Seignal in the East, Ligueux in the southeast, La Roquille in the south and Saint-André-et-Appelles in the west and southwest.
