Vignonet ( Occitan : Vinhonet ) is a southwestern French community with 498 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Libourne and the canton of Les Coteaux de Dordogne (until 2015: Canton Castillon-la-Bataille ).

location

Vignonet is about 40 kilometers east-northeast of Bordeaux . The Dordogne river limits the municipality to the south. Vignonet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Émilion in the north, Saint-Laurent-des-Combes in the north and northeast, Saint-Pey-d'Armens in the east, Sainte-Terre in the south and southeast, Cabara in the south and southwest and Saint- Sulpice-de-Faleyrens to the west and north-west.
