Saint-Denis-de-Pile is a French commune in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The community has 5535 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The municipality is part of the canton of Le Nord-Libournais in the Arrondissement of Libourne and of the communal association Communauté d'agglomération du Libournais . The inhabitants are called Dionysia .
geography
The parish is located on the river Isle , which is the parish boundary to the north and west. Saint-Denis-de-Pile is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Sablons in the north, Abzac in the northeast, Les Artigues-de-Lussac and Montagne in the southeast, Lalande-de-Pomerol in the south, Savignac-de-l'Isle in the west and Bonzac in the north-west.
The A89 autoroute runs through the southern municipal area and leads south to Bordeaux and east to Lyon . Saint-Denis-de-Pile train station is on the Paris – Bordeaux line .
