Moulon is a French village with 999 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Libourne and the canton Les Coteaux de Dordogne (until 2015: Canton Branne ). The inhabitants are called moulonnais .

geography

Moulon is about 33 kilometers east of Bordeaux on the Dordogne . Moulon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Libourne in the north, Saint-Émilion in the northeast, Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens in the east, Grézillac in the south, Tizac-de-Curton in the south and southwest and Nérigean and Génissac in the west.

The former route nationale 89 (today's D1089) runs through the municipality .
