Saint-Jean-de-Blaignac is located about 44 kilometers east of Bordeaux on the Dordogne , which borders the municipality in the north. Saint-Jean-de-Blaignac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Terre in the north, Saint-Vincent-de-Pertignas in the east and south-east, Rauzan in the south and south-east and Saint-Aubin-de-Branne in the west.
