Puynormand is a southwestern French community with 302 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Libourne and the canton of Le Nord-Libournais (until 2015 Lussac ).

Puynormand is about 48 kilometers east-northeast of Bordeaux . Puynormand is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Seurin-sur-l'Isle in the north, Gours in the east and northeast, Minzac in the east and southeast, Francs in the south, Tayac in the southwest, Petit-Palais-et-Cornemps in the west and Saint- Sauveur-de-Puynormand to the west and north-west.
