Location of the association of municipalities in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region

The Communauté d'agglomération du Libournais is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on November 29, 2016 and comprises 45 congregations. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Libourne .

Historical development

The association, which had existed since 2012, merged with effect from January 1, 2017

• Communauté d'agglomération du Libournais (before 2017) with the
• Communauté de communes du Sud-Libournais

with the involvement of seven other communities of the dissolved Communauté de communes du Brannais and thus formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération du Libournais . Despite the same name, it is a start-up with a different legal personality.

On January 1, 2018, the municipality of Camiac-et-Saint-Denis left the association and joined the Communauté de communes du Créonnais .
