Périssac is a southwestern French municipality with 1198 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Libourne and the canton Le Nord-Gironde (until 2015: Canton Fronsac ).

Périssac is located about 28 kilometers northeast of Bordeaux and about 13 kilometers north-northwest of Libourne . Périssac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marcenais in the north and northwest, Tizac-de-Lapouyade in the northeast, Saint-Ciers-d'Abzac in the east, Galgon in the southeast, Vérac in the southwest and Saint-Genès-de-Fronsac in the west.
