The canton of Fronsac was a French canton in the Arrondissement Libourne in the Gironde department in the Aquitaine region until 2015 .

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the Libourne district .

With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the Libourne arrondissement.
