The Canton Bordeaux 1 is a French constituency in Arrondissement of Bordeaux , in Gironde and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; its main town is Bordeaux , and Philippe Dorthe has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 2001 (re-elected in 2008).
The canton consists of part of the city of Bordeaux with a total of 45,887 inhabitants (as of 2017): Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton had the INSEE code 3308.
