The Canton Podensac was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Arrondissement Langon in the Gironde in the region Aquitaine .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the Bordeaux district . With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of the then arrondissement of Bordeaux. As part of an administrative reform, the canton of Podensac moved on May 1, 2006 from the Arrondissement of Bordeaux to the Arrondissement of Langon.
