The canton of Cadillac was a French canton in the arrondissement of Langon in the Gironde department in the Aquitaine region until 2015 .

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the Bordeaux district .

With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Bordeaux.

As part of an administrative reform, the canton of Cadillac moved on May 1, 2006 from the Arrondissement of Bordeaux to the Arrondissement of Langon.
