Berson is located near the estuary of the Gironde , about 30 kilometers north of Bordeaux . The river Bourdillot crosses the municipality. Berson is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Paul in the north, Saint-Girons-d'Aiguevives in the northeast, Saint-Christoly-de-Blaye in the east and northeast, Teuillac in the southeast, Saint-Trojan in the south, Saint-Ciers-de- Canesse in the southwest, Plassac in the west and Cars in the west and northwest.
