Villeneuve is located about 27 kilometers north-northwest of Bordeaux on the Gironde estuary . Villeneuve is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Plassac in the north, Saint-Ciers-de-Canesse in the east, Gauriac in the south and (on the other side of the estuary) Soussans in the west.
