Henri Nassiet

Henri Nassiet (born February 24, 1895 in Bègles , † April 16, 1977 in Paris ; actually Henri Bernard Nassiet ) was a French actor .

Life

Henri Nassiet, who was born Henri Bernard Nassiet in Bègles in 1895, made his theater debut in 1914. He played a. a. in “ L'école des contribuables ” by Louis Verneuil , “ Miss Ba ” by Rudolf Besier , “ Nora or A Doll's House ” by Henrik Ibsen , “ Ten Little Negroes ” by Agatha Christie , “ Une femme qui a le cœur trop petit ” by Fernand Crommelynck , “ The Devil and God ” by Jean-Paul Sartre and “ View from the Bridge ” by Arthur Miller .

Nassiet first appeared in a film in 1922, the silent film " Mama Pierre " at the side of André Roanne and Paulette Ray , but then preferred to play in the theater again. It was not until 1936 that he took on a small role again in the movie " Les jumeaux de Brighton ". As a result, he was often seen in films, u. a. he had several roles in Julien Duvivier's films (game of memory, old age ...).

In 1942, during the Second World War , he traveled to Algeria , which was occupied by France , where he worked as a radio presenter at Radio Alger to support the troops. After returning to France, he again appeared in numerous films. In 1947/48 he portrayed Vidocq in “ Le Cavalier de Croix-Mort ”.

In 1977 he died of a pulmonary embolism at the age of 82 .
