Live and act

Nothing is currently known about Andrés Roanne's origins and career. He joined French cinematography at the age of 18 and initially starred in short films at the beginning of the First World War, before he was drafted into military service in 1916. Five years later, the actor returned to the camera. Since it happened in the movie business to German-French cooperation in 1925 French-German due to a general approach, Roanne was for a number of large supporting roles for late German, artistic but not very important silent films - except GW Pabst's masterpiece Diary of a Lost - after Brought Berlin. The rise of talkies put an end to André Roanne's work abroad, and he returned to Paris.

In early sound films at the beginning of 1931 and 1932, Roanne initially played leading roles in French versions of German originals (including The Song of Nations, My Cousine from Warsaw, Gloria, Never Again Love, Baby, etc.). He remained in business until the outbreak of war in 1939, although he was barely able to get roles in above-average productions. During the occupation (1940 to 1944) André Roanne was almost without a job in cinematography; only 1943 is documented as an assistant director and film editor . In the last decade of his life, Roanne was cast several times again, but his appearances hardly got beyond the batch format. André Roanne ended his career in 1957 after around one hundred films. He died just two years later.
