Olivier Serge Lenglet (born February 20, 1960 in Saint-Quentin ) is a former French sword fencer .
successes
Olivier Lenglet was world champion with the team in Rome in 1982 and in Vienna in 1983 . He also won silver with her in Lyon in 1990 and in Budapest in 1991 . His only medal in the individual, he secured himself in 1986 in Sofia with bronze. He took part in three Olympic Games : In 1984 he entered the battle for gold with the team, in which France was defeated by the Federal Republic of Germany 5-8. In addition to Lenglet, Philippe Boisse , Jean-Michel Henry , Michel Salesse and Philippe Riboud received silver. He finished the individual competition in 13th place. At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 he reached the unbeaten final with the French team again, in which Poland was defeated 8: 4. Together with Frédéric Delpla , Jean-Michel Henry, Philippe Riboud and Éric Srecki , Lenglet became Olympic champion . Four years later he just missed another medal win with the team in fourth place, while he finished 17th in the individual.
