Roberto Battaglia (born June 23, 1909 in Milan , † April 25, 1965 ibid) was an Italian sword fencer .

successes

Roberto Battaglia was world champion with the team in Paris in 1937 and in Cairo in 1949 . In 1934 in Warsaw and 1951 in Stockholm , he also took second place with her and third place in Piešťany in 1938 . At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , he reached the final round with the team, which Italy finished in first place without defeat. Together with Franco Bertinetti , Giuseppe Delfino , Dario Mangiarotti , Edoardo Mangiarotti and Carlo Pavesi , Battaglia became Olympic champion . In 1942 and 1943 he became Italian champion.
