Matteo Tagliariol (2015)

Matteo Tagliariol (born January 7, 1983 in Treviso ) is an Italian sword fencer .

Career

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , he defeated French Fabrice Jeannet in the final and won gold. He won bronze with the Italian team. In the following year he was runner- up in the singles world championship in Antalya after losing to Anton Avdejew at 14:15 in the final .

Tagliariol belongs to a sports promotion group of the Italian Air Force .
