Alexander Wladimirowitsch Beketow ( Russian Александр Владимирович Бекетов ; born March 14, 1970 in Voskressensk , Moscow Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a Russian sword fencer and Olympic champion .
successes
At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , 1.82 m tall Beketov won the gold medal in the individual epee competition and, together with Pawel Kolobkow and Valeri Sacharewitsch, the silver medal in the epee team competition.
1994 Beketow became Russian champion.
Beketow has been coaching the Russian national epee team in the modern pentathlon since 2014 .
