Stefano Carozzo (born January 17, 1979 in Savona ) is a former Italian sword fencer .
successes
Stefano Carozzo became vice world champion with the team in Saint Petersburg in 2007 . In 2006 in Izmir and 2008 in Kiev he also won bronze in the team competition at the European Championships . At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 he and the team lost to the French team in the semi-finals, but prevailed in the battle for third place against China with 45:35. In addition to Carozzo, Alfredo Rota , Diego Confalonieri and Matteo Tagliariol received the bronze medal.
Carozzo fought for the Centro Sportivo dell'Aeronautica Militare . In 2008 he was made a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic .
