The Evensen Nunatak is an approximately 160  m high island off the east coast of Grahamland on the Antarctic Peninsula , which was also described as Nunatak . It is located 4 km northwest of Jason Island in the group of Seal Islands .

The island was mapped in 1947 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey , which named it after Karl Julius Evensen (1851–1937), captain of the whaler Hertha in the whaling expedition (1893–1894) Carl Anton Larsen .
