The extensor indicis muscle ( Latin for "index finger extensor ") is a skeletal muscle and one of the deep extensors on the forearm . The attachment tendon runs together with the attachment tendons of the extensor digitorum muscle through the fourth tendon sheath compartment of the extensor retinaculum .
The extensor indicis muscle extends the index finger to the extremity. It is a simply feathered muscle.
