The Extrasolar Planets Encyclopaedia (EPE for short), referred to in the German translation as "The Encyclopedia of the Extrasolar Planets", is an Internet presence since February 1995 that deals with research in the field of exoplanets . Among other things, it includes a catalog in the form of a database, the aim of which is to collect all known confirmed exoplanets and exoplanet candidates and to provide their data. For the objects contained in the catalog, there are data sheets with further information, such as the most important physical parameters of the objects and the associated literature.

The website is maintained by Jean Schneider from the Paris Observatory and is regularly updated using specialist literature. It currently (as of October 2010) offers a total of eight language versions - including a rudimentary German translation. The encyclopedia is aimed primarily at professionals. Although largely understandable for laypeople, their correct interpretation requires some basic knowledge.
