KG from Munich, a software development company from the Ippen Group. In addition to extratipp.com, the print edition EXTRA TIPP has been available since 2007, a free, weekly newspaper in the Rhine-Main area. Content and direction

While extratipp.com was supposed to support the print edition as a website in the early years, the focus changed after a relaunch of the site in 2013. Unlike its analogue partner, extratipp.com was able to read readers beyond the borders of the Rhine-Main area win. Since the end of 2018 extratipp.com has been regularly represented in the top 50 in the IVW ranking. In February 2020, the news portal achieved its best value with 27,931,417 visits per month. Since April 2020, the focus has been clearly on tabloid topics from the fields of stars, TV, hits and music. Particularly noticeable at extratipp.com are the click-bait headlines combined with a gaudy visual language. Extratipp.com used to report on Eintracht Frankfurt and youth issues .

history

The website extratipp.com was launched together with the first print edition of EXTRA TIPP in 2007. Ippen Digital has also been responsible for the site since April 2018. Editors from the entire Ippen group provide additional content that is prepared and played out by the editors at extratipp.com. These do not necessarily have a local reference.
