Excess size
An excess is a property of a mixture of substances that describes the deviation from ideal behavior.
Typical excess sizes are
- Mixture warming
- Free excess enthalpy : is used to determine activity coefficients using so-called models
- Excess heat capacities
- Excess volumes
- Excess pressure : Deviation of the vapor pressure from the ideal behavior according to Raoult
