Baltiysk ferry terminal
The Baltiysk Ferry Terminal Vostochny is a large rail , car and passenger ferry terminal in the city of Baltiysk (formerly Pillau ) in Kaliningrad Oblast , Russia . It was completed in late 2006.
From this terminal, large ferries are to provide the visa-free connection between the enclave around the city of Kaliningrad and the Russian heartland on a regular basis . A connection to Ust-Luga near Saint Petersburg is planned , but also international connections such as to Sassnitz in Germany .
