The house with the postal address Fährwall 5 is a listed building in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund on Fährwall .

The three-storey house is a former part of the Stralsund city wall and is of medieval origin. It was initially used as a storage facility.

The facade is made of brick . The gable-end building has a panel structure . The gable of the building, which had been badly dilapidated, was added again during the extensive renovation in 2012 and 2013. Since the renovation, the building has been used as a hotel together with the houses at Fährwall 6 , Fährstrasse 25 and the building complex at Fährstrasse 23/24 .

The house is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 185.
