Command support (short: FüUst ) is understood to be a specialist unit in civil disaster control that supports operations management in their work. It often has pure assistance tasks (sparking, documenting, etc.) and then primarily consists of telecommunications with specialist training in information and communication (IuK), but other forces can also be added. Another form of support are management tasks that are subordinate to the operations management team, with their own area of responsibility or a deputy function.

Examples

The examples are arranged according to the strength of the tactical unit . Wherever the reporter supports the leader in a group , this is in the case of a platoon of platoon troops and, in the case of a group strength, further facilities - different depending on the federal state.

Detector

The detector (Me) takes on tasks in a group (e.g. determining the situation and transferring information), which relieve the group leader and are to be qualified as management support in the broadest sense.

Platoon troop

The platoon team supports the platoon leader in his leadership work. The platoon leader is led by the platoon leader, who usually also serves as the platoon leader's deputy and requires appropriate training.

In addition to the platoon leader, the platoon troop usually consists of a (small) number of radio operators, telecommunications operators and drivers, possibly also a motorcyclist. Individual members of the platoon can also have several of these roles (e.g. "radio operator and driver").

Management support for associations

Technical operations management

In the event of disasters and major incidents (especially when associations are deployed), the Technical Operations Management (TEL) supports operations management in most countries by setting up the necessary command infrastructure and communication. In addition to or as an alternative to TEL, special telecommunications services or trains (also called IuK units) are sometimes used to set up and operate telecommunication systems.

Management support in Bavaria

There are no technical command lines in Bavaria . The corresponding tasks are carried out for each district by the local operations management support group (UG ÖEL), which supports the local operations manager (ÖEL). For the area of medical, care, catering and rescue services, there is a support group for medical operations management (UG SanEL) in addition to relieving the chief emergency physicians and organizational managers and independently managing the sections mentioned . In addition, communication groups leadership (KomFü) are formed in each district , which serve the establishment and communication in the administrative staff of the disaster control in the respective district authority.
