The Fümmelsee is an artificial lake in the Lower Saxony city of Wolfenbüttel . It is located in the Fümmelse district in the immediate vicinity of the A 36 . The lake is located in a park-like area and is used as a bathing lake . It was acquired in 1924 by the Wolfenbütteler swimming club from 1921 eV, whose members designed the lake as a natural bathing lake with extensive areas and lounging facilities.
