The pentagonal stone is a boundary stone in northern Lower Austria that delimits six plots of land, five cadastral communities , four political communities , two administrative districts and two quarters .

description

The boundary stone is about 1.30 m high and designed as an irregular pentagon according to the angles on the five cadastral communities. On the sides it bears the cadastral communities, namely Feuersbrunn , Engabrunn , Etsdorf , Straß and Gösing as an inscription . Furthermore, the stone on the street side bears several dates : Lorenz Altman and his son from Kleinweikersdorf were found dead on February 17, 1676, lying on the property of two different gentlemen. The dispute over which rule the dead should take over probably triggered the setting of the pentagonal stone. According to the court record of the community of Etsdorf, this boundary stone was erected on May 14, 1678. The stone was renovated in 1768 and 1998. Behind the pentagonal stone is the Pichler Cross on a stone plinth , which was even mounted on the boundary stone from 1906 to 1984.
