FAMAB communication association

The FAMAB Communication Association e. V. (FAMAB), formerly the Association of Direct Business Communication , is the professional association for five types of companies in the event industry: exhibition construction companies, marketing / event agencies, exhibition architects and designers, event catering companies and their respective specialist suppliers. At the same time, he represents the interests of the industry towards politics, business, science and the media. It was founded in 1963 as the trade association for trade fair and exhibition construction - FAMAB and is based in Rheda-Wiedenbrück . FAMAB represents over 250 quality-checked member companies in the communications industry with around 15,000 employees. It offers its members various services and training opportunities. He also introduced industry-specific standards, processes and guidelines.

Originally the association was divided into the sub-categories FMA (forum for trade fair construction and appearances), FDA (forum for design + architecture), FME (forum for live marketing and events), LECA (forum for event caterers) and the FLP ( Forum for FAMAB partners such as technical service providers, system providers, implementation companies, location providers, etc.). Today there is no longer such a subdivision.

Competitions

  • The association has been awarding the FAMAB Award (formerly ADAM and EVA Award) since 2014, which is given for excellent trade fair appearances and brand appearances away from trade fairs (e.g. brand worlds).
  • The FAMAB Marketing Event Agencies Forum annually announces the EVA Award , which is presented for outstanding marketing events and live communication measures.
  • The LECA Forum has been offering the LECA Award for the best catering in direct business communication since 2011 .
  • In 2011, the FAMAB New Talent Award (formerly the DAVID Award ) was also awarded for the first time as a young talent award for students studying marketing, media, communication and event management.
